How do I join?

Simply download the membership application form and send it together with the appropriate amount to the address shown on the form. Remember to request a key if you need one. This should be issued within 10 days.

Is there a waiting list to join?

Not at the moment. New members of any age or ability are very welcome.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. Suitable clothing must be worn at all times. Tracksuits may be worn. Jeans are not permitted. Footwear must not damage the playing surface.

How is court access controlled?

All members can be supplied with a gate key to allow access to the courts at any time. A deposit of £10 is required for the key.

How are courts booked?

We don’t have a booking system and it’s usually possible to just turn up and play. If both courts are in use, a short wait may be necessary.

Are there any toilet facilities?

At Open Days and other events when the club house is being used, a toilet is available. The rest of the time, unfortunately the toilet is not available.

Is there a league or a club team playing in a local league?

Not at the moment. The courts are used mainly for social tennis.

Does the Club hold any competitions?

Not at the moment. The courts are used mainly for social tennis.

Can I bring a visitor?

Members may bring guests at £2.00 per visit to be paid to a committee member or sent to the treasurer. Each guest aged 8 or over is limited to no more than three visits per year. Children under 8 years of age may use the courts at no cost when accompanied by a Senior member and at the discretion of other members present.

How can I contact opponents?

An email request for an opponent can be forwarded to all members. We also hold “Rusty Racquets” sessions, open to all levels & ideal if you need a playing partner. These are currently held on Tuesday evenings around 7pm, April – October, weather & light permitting. Day & time may change so contact us for details.
